I did this project using these really cute wood panels. Since it came with 5 panels and my daughter's name is 5 letters, it worked out perfectly.
The front is all pictures of my daughter modge-podged to the tiles. I then used Scenic Route letters, spruced up with a little Stickles, and little paper tags (Chatterbox) to write (with a Gel Writer) out phrases that fit my daughter and started with the same letter as each letter in her name.
