A LO of the day we went dress shopping and found my dress. (This page comes after "Pretty Dresses" in my album).
Journaling says: When we first walked into the store Chariss saw this dress on a mannequin by the door. We both though it was a pretty dress. But it didn't look like something I would ever go for, so we moved on to all the other dresses I thought would be perfect. I tried on a ton of dresses, including the ones on the opposite page. About ten dresses later I asked my consultant if she could get it in my size. When she came back she mentioned that it was a brand new design. I went in the dressing room and put on this dress. By that time, my arms and body were getting pretty tired. For some reason, a feeling came over me as I put it on that it was going to be the one (I hadn't even seen myself in it, there were no mirrors in the fitting room). At this time, my consultant was across the fitting rooms helping her other bride. I stepped out and saw myself in the mirror. Chariss and my mom gasped and my mom says from that point on until I took it off, my eyes were twinkling. Even other people in the store, including someone's fiance said I looked beautiful. I stood there for probably 5 minutes staring, touching, and playing with the dress. My consultant turned around and covered her mouth...she told me, "That's the one!" Of course, we went in not wanting to buy anything. But, I was afraid this dress wouldn't be here by the time I needed it. Plus, it fit me perfectly. So, even though the wedding was almost 2 years away, we made the big purchase, even before we knew where we were getting married. After that, the trick was keeping the dress a secret from Travis.
